PERFORMANCE HYPNOSIS FULL CASE STUDY

Summary

“Performance Hypnosis” was a powerful guided meditation audio album with transformative content—but it lacked brand identity and structured distribution. B47 Media converted audio recordings into a marketable, search‐discoverable, multi‐platform release. We built a visual system with custom artwork for every track, executed SEO and naming strategy to win the Google results panel, deployed press for authority, and secured distribution through The Orchard (Sony Music Entertainment) for global reach.

Challenge

The album existed as a set of high‐quality guided meditations, yet two core gaps blocked growth: no brand system and no distribution strategy. Search discoverability was further complicated by unrelated public figures ranking ahead for the same name in Google’s results/knowledge areas. Without visual cohesion, metadata optimization, or media coverage, the project struggled to convert interest into streams or presence.

Approach

We audited creative assets, search results, and metadata across platforms. Working closely with the creator, we developed a brand concept anchored in mind‐body performance, color psychology, and symbolic iconography. To differentiate each listening experience, we designed unique cover imagery per track— aligned to tone, tempo, and desired mental state. In parallel, we executed a search visibility plan: consistent naming conventions, structured metadata, tagged authorship, and reputation signals backed by press placements. Distribution conversations led us to The Orchard, a Sony Music subsidiary, enabling broad platform availability.

Solutions

1. Brand Identity System: Name lockups, logo marks, color palette tied to mood states (focus, calm, reset), and usage guidelines for digital storefronts.
2. Track‐Level Artwork Series: Custom visuals for each guided meditation to reflect its unique vibe and aid play-listing & platform differentiation
3. Search & Metadata Optimization: Unified artist/author naming, descriptive copy blocks, and tagging to outrank similarly named public figures.
4. Press & Editorial Outreach: Sequenced press releases to various media outlets; landed coverage in a music editorial site to build high‐authority backlinks.
5. Distribution Through The Orchard: Leveraged the Sony‐backed network for global DSP ingestion and catalog management

Outcome

Organic streaming surpassed 50,000 plays across distribution platforms without paid media at launch. Social engagement climbed 300% as branded visuals and shareable track art rolled out. Press distributions drove 10%+ media engagement, supporting authority signals that helped elevate the author to the top Google search result for “Performance Hypnosis.” With global availability via The Orchard, the album is now positioned for scalable growth, playlist pitching, and future volume releases.
